I am a qualified therapist trained in psychodynamic counselling, psychotherapy and CBT. I am a registered member of BACP (MBACP).
Before becoming a therapist I worked for various years in the City of London for a creative digital agency. I have experienced the pressure of having to commute every day to work whilst juggling private and professional needs and aspirations.
The journey to become a therapist started when I joined the Samaritans and then, from there, my interest in helping others developed and made me the woman I am today.
Finding the right therapist is not easy. My approach is that each person is unique and that the way ‘we are what we are’ must be put in the context of our past and environment. I offer a place that is confidential, warm, non-judgemental and open to any culture, religion, sex, gender and background. In my work I am also informed by ideas from group dynamic theories and compassion focussed concepts.
I see clients in my practice for:
- CBT Sessions
- On-going Counselling
- Short-term Counselling
I have experience of working with people with a wide range of anxieties, depression, relationships issues, life crisis, self-esteem, perfectionism and stress. I have also particular experience with bereavement and young adult issues in the workplace and at university.
Presently I am volunteering for Waterloo Community Counselling as I believe that help should be available to all regardless of wealth.
My ethnical background is Italian and I can offer sessions in Italian too.
